Day 77: Pipestone, MN to the South Dakota Border

After several marathon days, we took it easy today. We even took time to poke around the Pipestone National Monument — which is just as well, since it was already drizzling. The rain fell steadily most of the afternoon, but tapered off and stopped not long after we crossed the South Dakota border.

Getting close to the halfway mark. We figure that’s at a place called Jake’s Corner, 46 miles away. We’ll have to celebrate somehow.

I’m glad you decided to visit the monument. That last quarry was amazing.
I also wanted to ask if, with your new Tevas, stones didn’t poke into the bottom of you feet as much. And, do they need to get broken in? Do they give you blisters ?
