Day 68: Kenyon to Faribault, MN

I’m only gonna tell you one story today.

It’s a scary story. No fooling, this is the scaredest I’ve been this whole trip — but it wasn’t me I was scared for. Parts of it were so scary I didn’t turn the camera on, because I didn’t want to film the bad end I knew was coming. And also because I was busy screaming till I lost my voice. And this went on for nearly three hours.

But in my opinion, there’s too much scariness in the world today. There’s too many people pulling our strings, making us worry about what’s gonna happen, so I’ll just go ahead and tell you, this story has a happy ending.

Well … as happy as an ending can be when police lights are flashing.

I reckon it’s okay to be a little scared, so long as you know things are gonna turn out okay in the end. More or less.

I wonder what the dog was sent to teach you?

      Good question. Screaming doesn’t work?

I really hated to call the police or animal control. I didn’t want to see the dog sent to the pound. But I didn’t know what else to do. So, maybe, it’s okay to ask for help?

What a stressful day! And that dog didn’t seem to have a care in the world!

Whether you buy into this sort of thing or not, consider this… A while back, my daughter repeatedly encountered a white dog in her dreams. She looked into the dream interpretation at the time. Your canine visitor reminded me of this and I had to look it up. “The white dog spirit is a harbinger of positive change. Another good omen is when a stray dog follows you. It indicates that you are putting positive energy out into the world, which attracts positivity back to you.”

I don’t know, that sure sounds like you, Abner, and it sure sounds like good things might be coming your way. Was that dog following you, or is it the other way around?

I’m no dog expert, but from what I saw, that doggo looked a bit husky. Check out this tidbit:

“The wisdom of the Husky spirit animal reminds us that the journey is more important than actually getting to the destination.”

    Isn’t that wild!?

Wow! So is it bad to call the cops on a harbinger?

Kidding aside, thank you for sharing this. It made my day, and gives me hope 🙂
