A Wandering Storyteller Returns Home — What Now?

Howdy folks! When I ended our walking tour a little more than two weeks ago, I promised that I would give you an update as soon as I got home and had a chance to spend time with my family. I’ve been home a while now, and all is well — but the truth is, I’m still trying to figure out where to go from here.

For so long, all of my thought and energy has gone into planning and doing a coast-to-coast walk across the continent. I didn’t spend a lot of time thinking about what came after, or what would happen if I had to stop before I reached the Pacific. So the transition to whatever comes next is going to take a while.

This vlog may be undergoing a transition, too. Though it was a daily struggle to think of something new to say, I really enjoyed the process. It felt like  a conversation — as if you were there with me, and we were just talking. The walking tour may be over, but I’d like to continue the vlog in some form. Perhaps I can tell you a story from time to time. Anyway, stay tuned.

It was good to see you again Abner. I enjoyed your book & it’s interesting interpretation on how we came about. My biggest problem was seperating you from the book but guess that’s not a bad thing. I’m sorry the tour didn’t work out as you had hoped but it was still an impressive adventure. Looking forward to catching up again soon.

It’s good to see your face again. You had quite an adventure, even if it’s not the one you thought you’d have. No two ways about it. And I have faith in your ability to create new adventures for yourself, and for us vicariously, one way or another.
